Quick Results:
- Penta debuts and defeats Chad Gable. Michael Cole called it the worst kept secret in the industry, and it’s hard to argue that. Still, Penta delivered.
- Sheamus defeats Ludwig Kaiser. Post-match, Sheamus and Bron Breakker jaw at each other, with the Irishman clearly wanting another shot at the elusive title.
- Lyra Valkria defeats Dakota Kai, becoming your first ever women’s Intercontinental Champion.
- Sami Zayn defeats The Miz-notable as it happened off of a Blue Thunder Bomb, versus his usual Helluva Kick.
- Damian Priest defeats Finn Balor in our street fight main event.
Best Match:
Honestly enjoyed three most of all, and they are, in order:
The Priest/Balor street fight. Felt like a near-feud-ending match, I think.

Lyra Valkria becoming our first women’s Intercontinental Champion, defeating Dakota Kai. Though, as Cole reminded us, she is not the first woman to hold an Intercontinental Championship.
And last but not least, Penta defeated Chad Gable. No way was Penta losing, and he didn’t. But Gable was a nice pick for his debut, and they worked really well together.

Worst Match:
Nothing really bad. If I was going to complain, I’d say that Sheamus beating Kaiser to get himself another shot at the elusive Intercontinental Championship was a touch predictable. Now, will WWE finally pull that trigger?
Noteworthy Moments:
Two big matches made for our next Saturday Night’s Main Event on this edition of RAW.
First, Sheamus get another shot at the Intercontinental Championship. Would be nice if he finally finishes that story, wouldn’t it?
Up next, Jey Uso reinserts himself into the world championship scene, challenging Gunther for a match in San Antonio.
And if you track this sort of thing, RAW was about 2.5 hours long. As others have noted, one added benefit of the lack of a set run time? You don’t know when that main event finish is coming. Before, you knew roughly. Now, they might run short, they could run four hours. It’s a whole new era for RAW.
Holy Sh!@ Moments:
Some big stuff in between the matches.
According to Kross, the Wyatt Sicks are now on SmackDown.
The transfer window had Bayley in a RAW ring, jawing at Nia Jax who heavily implied she might take advantage of the window.
Dom is going from nuclear heat heel to what, clueless lovelorn kid? I am genuinely curious to see where this remaining Judgement Day story goes, but I do wonder if it shouldn’t just…go away?
Speaking of over, the way Priest dragged Balor off the stretcher to finish things? I have to think this feud is done, no?
Lowlights:
Another week with not much to complain about. I was trying to watch the NFL game, but it was a blowout. I was curious about the whole Mars/Moon thing, but it was too cold.
RAW on Netflix was plenty good though.

Highlights:

Penta debuted. Phenomenal, strong debut. Loved that he had his time on the mic after the match and he genuinely seemed stoked to have arrived. Can only imagine what Fenix’s eventual arrival looks like.
We had some solid promos, setting up future matches. Some for next Monday’s RAW. Others lining things up for Saturday Night’s Main Event in San Antonio. And of course, still more tossing their names into the Rumble.

After the Final Bell:
Another week, another good show on Netflix. These definitely have a near-PPV kind of feel at times, in that I feel like the matches are better and not rushed. It would seem that we no longer have the issues of matches needing to be cut short, or cut entirely.
So, if these past two shows are an indication of how good RAW might be on a weekly basis? How much better will PLE be moving forward? Surely that bar is raised too, no?
