Tiffany Stratton has been involved in a heated feud with Charlotte Flair on the road to WrestleMania 41. Things got personal on last week’s Smackdown as the duo went off-script during their recent exchange. Now, Stratton has spoken out for the first time about the now infamous incident.
“The Center of the Universe” became the WWE Women’s Champion at the start of 2025. After winning the Women’s Royal Rumble match, Flair picked Stratton as her opponent for WrestleMania 41. Tensions have been escalating as the weeks go by due to what seems like legitimate friction between the two women’s division stars.
On Smackdown last week, Stratton and Flair both made off-script remarks about each other. Stratton referenced Charlotte’s three failed marriages, while “The Queen” took a shot at her real-life boyfriend, Ludwig Kaiser.
During a recent appearance on the “Babyfaces” podcast, the WWE Women’s Champion addressed the off-script moment for the first time.
“I think, you know, being so new into this business, being so new as champion, I don’t think she really expected me to stand up to her,” she said. “And I don’t think she expected me to, I guess, almost clap back. And I think I kind of; look, all I have to say is it’s live TV. The stakes are high. We’re going into WrestleMania.
“I have the title. I want to keep the title. And I’m gonna pull out every stop that I can. And people want to see our match. I think that we did a very good job of getting people to want to see our match and invest in our story. And now, I’m ready to put on the best women’s match ever, and I’m ready to go to war.”
Tiffany Stratton has defended her title against top names like Bayley and Nia Jax. However, this time, standing in her way is the 14-time Women’s Champion, Charlotte Flair. It will be interesting to see if Stratton will be able to leave Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas still as the champion.
