Sheamus and GUNTHER have had some bangers, to put it bluntly. The two of them, along with Drew McIntyre, delivered one of the best matches from WrestleMania 39. Now, as the King of the Ring bracket has been announced, the two will clash again. Leading up to their next match on the May 6th edition of RAW, Sheamus decided to do some trash talking on social media.

Odds are, he regrets it. While it started off perhaps innocently enough, it did not stay that way long. And, realizing how bad it went, the recently returned Superstar deleted the post. But, as the Internet is the way it is, we can be thankful that someone grabbed it for us to dissect. In this case, EWrestlingNews came through.

Sheamus pointed out some similarities between GUNTHER and Adolf Hitler, the leader of Nazi Germany. While he did not flat out call GUNTHER Hitler, he was clearly making that distinction. After he posted that, he did get a stunned reaction from GUNTHER himself, who asked simply “what the f@#$?”. We’ve seen plenty of tweets in poor taste, but this one might be a whole new level of poor taste.

Yes, the former world champion did delete the post. What we don’t know is if the fact that he posted it will get him in trouble. Trash talk is one thing, but that was a whole new level of tasteless. Granted, WWE did screw up when they re-named WALTER to GUNTHER, because of some other ties to that time in history. I suspect there might be some uncomfortable conversation to be had, but we shall see if Paul LeVesque does anything with his former Brawling Brute.
