WWE News: Push Grows For AEW Legend To Be Allowed To Induct Lex Luger Into WWE Hall Of Fame

There is a push growing for Lex Luger to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame by a certain AEW legend.

WrestleMania 41 is just over a month away. It also means the 2025 WWE Hall of Fame is also drawing near. So far three names have been announced for the event that will go down before Night 1 of the April show. Those being Triple H, Michelle McCool, and Lex Luger.

Luger’s addition to this year’s class was a pleasant surprise, since much of his career was spent in WCW. His inclusion has led to speculation on who will deliver his induction speech. Throughout his impressive career, one of his closest friends has been wrestling legend Sting. He would seem like the perfect person for the role.

However, he has a close relationship with AEW and their CEO Tony Khan after finishing his career with the company. And All Elite Wrestling is on bad terms with their top rival, WWE. Some wonder if that might prohibit Sting from being a part of the event. But there is evidence, the greater good may prevail.

During a recent edition of his “83 Weeks” podcast, former WCW boss Eric Bischoff spoke about the possibility of Sting inducting Lex Luger into the WWE Hall of Fame. And despite the wrestling icon having close ties to the competition, he doesn’t think WWE would have any issue with his involvement in the event.

“Not only can I assure you WWE would — I don’t even like to use the word ‘allow’ — WWE would welcome Sting to the Hall of Fame ceremony. Particularly if that’s what Lex requested,” Bischoff said [h/t Ringside News].

Well, in a conversation this week with Bischoff, Lex Luger confirmed that he would like Sting, as well as Diamond Dallas Page, to be a part of his WWE Hall of Fame induction.

“If I could have my two guys up there with me, man, DDP on my shoulder kind of spotting me and Sting on the other, if it’s possible,” Luger said. “I go, man, that would be amazing. So we shall see. If I have anything to say about that, that would be my pick. That would be, for me, the ultimate. That would be pretty cool, that would be amazing.”

Luger and Diamond Dallas Page have been friends since their WCW days. But the WWE Hall-of-Famer has been helping him to regain his ability to walk again. After being paralyzed nearly 20 years ago.
