WrestleMania 41 is just a few weeks away, and it also means we will get the 2025 class of the WWE Hall of Fame. A few names have already been announced including Paul “Triple H” Levesque and WCW legend Lex Luger. More names are sure to be revealed in the next couple of weeks.
What makes the WWE HOF unique is that it features celebrities and wrestling legends that didn’t make a name for themselves only in WWE. With that in mind, let’s look at some industry greats that need to be put into the 2025 class of the WWE Hall of Fame.

Bam Bam Bigelow

While he never became world champion, Bam Bam Bigelow was a groundbreaking wrestler. For decades, large performers were slow and had a style based completely on their strength. However, the New Jersey native changed the game. Ushering in an era of big men that could fly off the top rope and do athletic moves inside the ring.
For fans familiar with athletic bigs like Jacob Fatu, Kane, Bronson Reed, and Keith Lee, they may not exist in the industry today if not for Bam Bam Bigelow.

Santino Marella

WWE fans adore the antics of fun-loving characters like R-Truth and Alpha Academy. However, before they made careers off being funny, Santino Marella broke the mold of what a WWE star could be. He broke in by shockingly upsetting Umaga in his debut. However, he would eventually transition into a role as the company’s preeminent funny man. Butchering the names of his contemporaries and using his deadly “Cobra.”
Marella brought joy to wrestling fans in a very different way for a long time. And showed you don’t need to be a bada** to be a WWE star.

Mickie James

Mickie James is one of the most underappreciated female wrestlers of all time. Sycho Sid

Sycho Sid was one of the scariest heels in WWE history. That is why the nickname of “Sycho” was so perfect. He was overshadowed by the likes of the Undertaker and Kevin Nash. But he is one of the best big men of all-time. While his run in WWE was limited, he deserves to go into the Hall of Fame for years of outstanding work in WCW. Heck, he even had a great limited run in ECW before a second stint in WCW where he became world champion.

The Rockers

It is mind-blowing that the Rockers are not in the WWE Hall of Fame. Just like the Ultimate Warrior, the Rockers’ look and style was highly influential for a generation of future wrestlers. They were a key part of a golden era of tag team wrestling and should have been in the HOF a long time ago.

Ultimo Dragon

Ultimo Dragon is a lucha legend. While he did not spend much of his career in Mexico, he took what he learned there and brought it to Japan to become a wrestling icon. He would then move on to America and be a huge part of WCW’s influential cruiserweight division. He was an outstanding talent in the ring who had great success on more than one continent. That sounds like a Hall of Famer if there ever was one.
William Regal

William Regal is one of the most respected wrestlers of his era. If not for his demons away from the ring, there is a very real chance he could have held a major world title in WWE or WCW. Nevertheless, he still will go down as one of the greatest mat technicians of his era. However, his mind is just as respected. And he has played a massive role in the different versions of NXT and helping to develop many top WWE stars of today. Regal has done HOF caliber work in front of and behind the scenes for decades.
