Is Jelly Roll Planning Debut Match In WWE? Country Music Star Reveals Surprising News To Logan Paul

10 Most Underrated World Champions In WWE History, Including Eddie Guerrero And Jeff Hardy

It looks like country music superstar Jelly Roll would like to do much more inside a WWE ring beyond just a fun but short appearance.

What has always made WWE unique is the company’s willingness to blur the lines between wrestling and pop culture. It all started with the “Rock and Wrestling” era that featured 1980s pop star Cyndi Lauper appearing at WrestleMania 1. And it continues on to today with music superstar Bad Bunny actually taking part in matches.

The latest instance of a star from show business crossing over to WWE was at SummerSlam when country music superstar Jelly Roll got into a physical altercation with Austin Theory and Grayson Waller. The Grammy-nominated singer showcased his power with a massive choke slam and then dropped a five-knuckle shuffle in between matches at the event.

It was a topic of discussion during a recent appearance on Logan Paul’s “Impaulsive” podcast. And the musician had nothing but praise for the athletic gifts of Theory.

“Austin Theory is a superhero. Yeah, he is a hero, is what he is. And I’m not in the business, so I don’t gotta carry kayfabe,” Jelly Roll said. “Dude made me look like a rock star. I love that dude and will forever, ’cause he told me that whole night, he was like, ‘I got you, dog, trust me.'”

However, that wasn’t all Jelly Roll had to say. The long-time WWE fan dropped a major nugget of news that could lead to an eventual match for the country music superstar.

“I’m telling you, I’m coming. I want to do [a match] big. I caught the bug in a way that I’ve never caught a bug. I caught a bug so much I think I’m going to buy a ring. It was awesome.”

If any company could put the singer into a match and make him look like a million bucks it would be WWE. Furthermore, the promotion is trying to make the most of its hot streak and is open to working with popular singers and actors like never before. This seems like an inevitability next year if he is serious about his interest in a match.
