It’s an interesting question-could the WWE-TNA relationship lead to a Hardys NXT run sooner than later?

It is absolutely crazy to think about it now, knowing how things went down just a few years ago. Matt and Jeff Hardy each parted ways with WWE, albeit at not the exact same time. Matt went first, landing quickly in AEW. But, perhaps because it was during the pandemic, the move didn’t move any needles-there was no crowd to pop. Jeff forced his way out of WWE not long after, eventually landing in AEW as well.
I say that the idea of a Hardys-NXT run is crazy to think about because, well, just a few years ago, that idea was pitched to them and went over not well. Times have changed, things are different, and we may get to see it. After all, WWE and TNA are enjoying a significant working relationship, and we’ve already seen big names come in and get big matches on NXT programming. Names like Jordynne Grace and Joe Hendry. But could Matt and Jeff Hardy follow?
Why not?
According to them, via a recent interview, it is something they are absolutely open to. Where a visit to NXT was looked down upon just a few years ago, now not so much. Matt and Jeff also admit that, of all the tag titles they’ve won around the world, they’ve never held NXT tag gold. Further to that, the current NXT Tag Team Champions seem to be encouraging a match.

Even if it is only a brief run within NXT-especially if it results in a tag title win-how cool would that be? For as much as both Matt and Jeff have done within and outside of WWE, it would be just another awesome accomplishment. And, perhaps it would also be an indication that the relationship between the brothers and the current WWE leadership is much improved over the prior regime.
