It has been a year since Braun Strowman last wrestled and could there be good news coming, when it pertains to a WWE return?
Braun Strowman WWE Return Update
Unfortunately, injuries are part of the pro wrestling business. I cannot think of any wrestler, at least who competed for a few years, that walked away with no injuries.
Braun Strowman missed a good amount of 2023, outside of a few appearances. He underwent neck fusion surgery and that usually puts someone on the shelf for about a year.
So far, there has been indication of Strowman returning. With WrestleMania 40 closing in, it looks like he will not be back in time.

Although, he seems to be making progress according to Sean Ross Sapp.
“Someone in January implied that he would be back soon and I was thinking ‘surely not,’” said Sapp. “But, then I followed up and was told that ‘he’s doing way better than anticipated.’”
WWE really likes to invest in those WrestleMania matches and there is simply not enough time to book one with a decent storyline. Now, he could still appear in a quick segment or work an impromptu match like we saw last year with The Miz.
We did see the massive superstar be part of a special episode of SmackDown in August. He was there, along with Erick Rowan, to honor the late, Bray Wyatt.
Strowman made his main roster debut as part of the Wyatt Family. He would heavily feud with Roman Reigns after the group split.
He managed to capture the Universal Championship at WrestleMania 36 from Goldberg. Strowman was not even booked until the last minute as Reigns withdrew because of the pandemic.
In a bizarre moment, he was released in June 2021. Just over a year later and he returned.
Mostly, Strowman has teamed with Ricochet, making for a cool tag team combo.
