Their feud has consumed a good chunk of 2024, and after Bad Blood, where do Drew McIntyre and CM Punk go?

Drew McIntyre and CM Punk have pretty much been inseparable in WWE for the past year. Maybe not quite a year, but close enough. The drama and animosity surely kicked off when Punk made his amazing return to WWE at last year’s Survivor Series. Things got physical, as they tend to, in the 2024 Royal Rumble. During the Rumble match, Punk got injured. It was an injury credited to Drew, and something McIntyre ran with. And because an injured Punk made WWE pivot from the original WrestleMania plans for Punk and Rollins, the company was out to make some lemonade.
Now, I am not saying that Punk and Rollins wouldn’t have been good. I am not saying that Punk and Rollins won’t still be eventually good. But what I am going to say is that the feud that came out of that unfortunate injury has done a pretty good job of making us forget what could have been. If you need proof of just how strong a job both Superstars did, I give you this: they fought over a handmade bead bracelet with AJ Lee and Larry on it. Like, not an expensive trinket. Not gold, not a title. A bracelet with personal meaning.
So now what
For his part, Punk was pretty sure he was done with the feud last month. He came out after beating McIntyre at the Bash at Berlin, confident the feud was over. Certain that he could move on and set his sights on a world championship. The Scottish Psychopath had other ideas, which led us to Hell In A Cell, which kicked off the 2024 revival of Bad Blood. And unfortunately for McIntyre, he lost the match. So where do CM Punk and Drew McIntyre go from here?
Well, Punk has already mentioned he wants a world title run. It would seem like he would do what he can to get himself a shot, which right now would be at GUNTHER. Of course, GUNTHER is going to be busy with Sami Zayn, and maybe Bron Breakker soon. Could that mean that CM Punk has to rely on a 2025 Royal Rumble win to call his shot? And honestly, while Seth Rollins might have immediate issues with Big Bronson Reed…there is unfinished business between he and the Second City Saint.

As for Drew? I think his next move is a little less clear. Honestly, considering how things have gone, I could still imagine McIntyre holding a grudge. Then, wanting to inflict more damage on Punk. Assuming that WWE considers their feud over (and I imagine they would), then it will be very interesting to see where things go. Could we see Drew and Sheamus pair up or square up? Might he want a crack at Jey Uso and the Intercontinental Championship?
After an all consuming feud, one which started in January and might have wrapped up in October, we are left with one important question. What’s next for each of these top Superstars?
