Saturday Night’s Main Event Card and Predictions
Braun Strowman vs. Jacob Fatu
Braun Strowman made an impactful return to Smackdown and went straight after Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga. It didn’t take long for a match-up between Strowman and Fatu to be made official for this event. With Fatu sure to have Tonga in his corner, do not be surprised to see involvement from LA Knight to even the playing field. Nevertheless, I think Fatu will get the victory here in what will be a prime showcase of his talents.

Bron Breakker vs. Sheamus

Sheamus’ pursuit of the one major title that has eluded him throughout his WWE career has been well documented. The IC Title is once again within his grasp but current champion Bron Breakker has no intention of giving up the gold. These two heavy hitters are bound to put each other through the wringer in this clash. But as for the outcome, I believe Sheamus’ quest for the IC strap will sadly continue on a bit longer. Breakker retains.
Rhea Ripley vs. Nia Jax

Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley has been riding high since finally putting her rivalry with Liv Morgan in her rearview. However, it didn’t take long for her next formidable challenger to materialize in the form of Nia Jax. These two are no strangers to one another, even main-eventing last year’s Elimination Chamber event in a fantastic bout in Rhea’s native Australia. I expect the result to be the same here, with Rhea getting the big win and retaining.

Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens Contract Signing

As fans have seen in recent weeks, Smackdown GM Nick Aldis is at his wit’s end when it comes to keeping these two rivals apart. So, in the hopes of successfully getting them to sign the amended contract for their Royal Rumble Ladder Match, he’s brought in Hall of Famer, and San Antonio native, Shawn Michaels to oversee the proceedings. We wish HBK luck, but I seriously doubt these two will remain civil and fans can expect some fireworks and probably a broken table or two (it is a contract signing after all).
Gunther vs. Jey Uso

For the second consecutive Saturday Night’s Main Event, World Heavyweight Champion Gunther finds himself defending his title for a primetime audience. This time, he faces Jey Uso, the electric fan favorite who continues his quest to prove he is worthy of his ‘Main Event’ moniker. This one is very interesting; as if there was ever a moment to strike while the iron is hot with Jey, it’s now. But I believe Gunther’s dominance is too much to overcome here and Uso will come up just short in a scintillating bout.
