A wild social media rant from former WWE champion Jake Hager has cost him an upcoming job in the wrestling industry.
Jake Hager has always been an individual willing to speak his mind publicly and is an unabashed patriot. His specific love for country made him the source of headlines earlier this week when wrote on social media, “Everyone wants to talk shit about [Donald] Trump. The [Joe] Biden administration removed American energy on day one. So who is the tyrant?”

A wrestling fan who saw the comment responded and tagged Hager’s former AEW boss Tony Khan. That surprisingly triggered something in the 42-year-old and he shockingly called Khan a communist and claimed he threatened his job over his support for new United States President Donald Trump.
He later claimed, “Tony Khan is a communist and threatened me to be silent or else?” before deleting the post. Well, it seems that wild rant cost the man once known as Jack Swagger an upcoming wrestling booking.
Jake Hager loses Blitzkrieg Pro booking after communist rant
“Jake Hagar will no longer be appearing on December 14th in Enfield, CT,” Blitzkrieg Pro said in a statement on X. “On top of sponsors no longer being willing to work with him, we also just have to do what we think is right for our roster and fans. We’re going to get to work on a replacement asap.”
“Tickets aren’t on sale for the event he was scheduled for. Everybody can do with their hard-earned money as they please.”
Jake Hager has had an interesting career in the wrestling industry. The former All-American wrestler joined WWE in 2006 and quickly became a favorite of decision-makers in the company. In just a few years he would go on to become a two-time world champion in the company.
However, he never truly caught on with fans and over time saw his role on WWE diminish as the years progressed. Eventually, he received his release in 2017 and ended up being one of the first notable signings by AEW several years later. During his tenure there he was a key member of both the Inner Circle and the Jericho Appreciation Society.
The company chose not to re-sign him after his contract expired earlier this year.
