Ospreay recently chatted about the potential of relocating out of the UK, stating he’s “open” to all avenues. A recent report adds speculation on whether or not the talent could head to the WWE.
Potential For Will Ospreay To Head To The WWE
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio recently talked about the current IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion, and the potential of him heading to the WWE. He starts off by saying that he “knows” some stuff.
Meltzer adds that the WWE is “after” the UK-based star, and he will “listen” to the company. However, he also states that there are a lot of different things that could happen.
Dave adds that he believes the star is going for the “best possible” offer. Meltzer goes on to say that hehas a family, and states he wants his son to go to a “good college”.
Dave notes that the star wants to make money now. Not that he hasn’t made money at his Indie shows and New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) in the past, but WWE and AEW are a step above when it comes to money.
Will We See RAW Vs SmackDown In Chicago?
In early October, Dave suggested that the talent may not sign a full-time contract with the WWE, as he may be apprehensive about moving away from the UK. Still, it looks like he is now open to the discussion of a permanent spot with the company.
The star currently has a contract with NJPW until early February 2024. In fact, he participated in last weekend’s 2023 Impact Bound for Glory event, where he faced “Speedball” Mike Bailey and won the match.
What’s next for this incredible wrestling talent? Only time will tell, but all signs are pointing to the idea he might be headed to the WWE.
