The wrestling world is still buzzing over the return of Nia Jax. A report adds some insight on her new WWE contract and the end of the company’s “hiring freeze”.

Nia Jax Has Signed With WWE For A While Now

According to Fightful Select, the Irresistible Force signed with the company more than a month ago. Sources note that she was expected to return at some point during a recent show.

In fact, many expected her to return earlier than during last night’s RAW. It also states that her comeback has nothing to do with the Endeavor merger, which officially closed as of today.

Speaking of, the company had a “hiring freeze” when it came to talent that started at the beginning of this year. As per the report, that has come to an end, as well.

Nia’s History With The WWE

The WWE star was released by the company in November 2021. Still, she had yet to perform in any other promotion during her absence.

Her appearance on RAW was the first time she’d been on WWE television since she participated in this year’s Women’s Royal Rumble. During her first run with the WWE, she became RAW Women’s Champion and a two-time Women’s Tag Team Champion, along with Shayna Baszler.

According to reports, during her time away from the WWE, she trained with friend and former colleague, Charlotte Flair, as well as her hubby Andrade. She also trained with Natalya and her husband, TJ Wilson.
