Injuries happen often in the WWE. So often, the WWE cannot guarantee the presence of certain superstars when you buy wrestling tickets months in advance.
Even though injuries are not uncommon, it is extremely uncommon for superstars to work when they are injured. However, this seems to be the case for one major superstar in the WWE, who has reportedly wrestled despite suffering from an injury.
Finn Balor Beats Injured Bobby Lashley?
Bobby Lashley has been receiving quite the push from the WWE, especially now he has Lio Rush by his side. Unfortunately, things might not be so rose colored for Lashley after all, especially after rumors started to circulate about him this week.
Various sources, including Pro Wrestling, claim Lashley has been working injured; this was also confirmed by Dave Meltzer from Wrestling Observer Radio.
This week on Raw, Lashley had a match against Finn Balor. Balor might be a fan favorite, but nobody expected him to win against Bobby Lashley considering the major push he is getting at the moment. However, Finn did take the win from Lashley this week.
Balor’s win could have been a little more complex than first thought. It is believed Balor took the win because Lashley has been working with an injury.
At the time of this article, there is no news about Lashley from WWE’s official sources. However, if Lashley is allowed to work with an injury, it is most likely to be minor. That being said, it could put a damper on his push, so I hope this is not the case.
Other Major Female Superstar Injured?
Lashley is not the only major superstar suffering from an injury at the moment, because rumors surrounding Alexa Bliss have been going around for some time, too. While the WWE is still determining if Alexa can participate in the huge pay-per-view match against Lita and Trish Stratus, the WWE has put its contingency plan in place.
If Bliss is not able to participate in Evolution, the WWE is likely to replace her with Alicia Fox. Fox attacked Lita and Trish during this week’s Raw episode, putting her in the perfect position to take over from Lexie.
Unfortunately, it is believed Lexie is suffering from a concussion. If this is the case, a concussion this close to the pay-per-view is likely to disqualify her from competing. While she might miss the historic pay-per-view, I hope she takes comfort in the accomplishments she has already achieved.
