Drew McIntyre is set to face the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins, at Saudi’s Crown Jewel premium live event (PLE) on Saturday, November 4th. Still, this doesn’t necessarily mean he has made any headway when it comes to his contract with the company, which is set to expire soon. More details on this, below.
What’s Drew McIntyre’s Contract Status With The WWE?
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio recently talked about the WWE superstar’s contract status with the company. He notes that there hasn’t been any “movement” between the promotion and the talent.
Meltzer described the situation as a “numbers game”, as the former WWE champion has provided a number that the WWE didn’t present. Whether they meet him somewhere in the middle or decline what he has proposed will remain to be seen.
It was stated that he isn’t looking to leave the WWE. It’s also important to note that his current agreement doesn’t expire until April 2024.
According to the report, his deal was supposed to expire at the end of this year. However, due to absences because of injury and other things, it was extended.
This is a common practice for the WWE when it comes to contracts. The real question is, could Drew snag the title from Seth Rollins come November 4th?

It’s long before his contract is set to expire and shouldn’t be ruled out, since the WWE star has such a good standing with the company. Only time will tell.
The Scotsman isn’t the only major superstar with a deal set to end come 2024. In addition to him, “The Man” Becky Lynch also has a contract expiring next year, and Sheamus too.
Could all three end up free agents by the time next year rolls out? Seems highly unlikely, but really anything can happen in the land of professional wrestling.
