With all the chatter about more and more unwanted late changes, there’s report of creative intervention for Vince McMahon.
Possibly. Maybe.
Unless there isn’t one.
Fightful revealed the potential intervention, so let’s dive into the rumor.
According to the report, there was talk that Triple H and Nick Khan were working to sit down with Vince McMahon as far back as the June 26th RAW.
To that end, while it was rumored, it is also reported that such a creative intervention for the boss has not happened.
As Fightful asked around, some within WWE dismissed it as silly, but it’s still worth talking about things.
Report Of Creative Intervention For Vince McMahon
We’ve already seen reports of WWE staff sort of “McMahon-proofing” shows by announcing key matches further in advance than usual.
And…he’s been at shows again…
So, while some dismissed any sort of sit-down, the idea is not a crazy one.
Some shows, it was blatantly obvious that old Vince was messing things up.
Others, where the boss reportedly had his hands all over the show, turned out great.
Still, with the reintroduction of the demoralizing late changes, many Superstars have expressed frustration.
If nothing else, sitting down with the former owner of WWE could do wonders to fix that.
Except, well, here’s the thing.
With the terms of his sale to Endeavor…Vince still has quite a bit of control.
To that end, Triple H and Nick Khan and basically anyone else in WWE Creative can try to talk sense into the chairman…but he does not have to listen nor do anything about their feedback.
The hope, of course, is that he is smart enough to look at all the overwhelmingly positive things that have happened under Triple H’s year of guidance.
Perhaps the new owners will nudge him, too, if things take a turn.
For now, there may still be some creative chaos…but fans are getting better shows than when things were purely Vince…so stay tuned.
