Knowing that he has just returned after a 10 year absence, many fans are curious to know what happens when CM Punk discusses WWE culture.

But, if you are a fan of the man, or familiar with his work, you probably expected gold.

Though he cannot legally discuss certain things about a certain former employer, we all know that the mercurial Superstar generally pulls no punches.

So, sure, he might not be able to ever legally drop the pipe bomb to end all pipe bombs…but he will take his shots in his own way.

And while the comments might be able to be seen as a subtle dig, I choose to see these a bit differently.

Punk left WWE bitter, broken and angry. He’s confessed as much.

Time heals a lot of things. It also gives us wisdom and perspective and maturity.

Maybe not for everyone, but it definitely applies here.

One thing that Punk was not a fan of was how things wound up working behind the scenes in AEW.

Yes, he seemed to be a favorite of Tony Khan. But, he was dealing with the other executives who didn’t always conduct themselves as such.

Now that he’s been back in WWE a few months, he remarked about the company culture and how the locker room feels to him.

WWE had a film crew following him around, and during the filming, he dropped a really nice compliment about his new old home.

Specifically, Punk said that the WWE locker room is “everything the business is supposed to be”.

Now, I do see that as a jab at the old workplace. But it is also an acknowledgement of how good things have been for him since he returned.

It is a shame that Punk sustained an injury during only his first live match since his November return.

But we know he will be back. He is happy to have returned, and all seems right in the world.

Even if we won’t see him generating any RAW results anytime soon.
