AEW could use all the help they can get right now, and a pair of new reports suggests three of their very best performers could soon return from injury.
AEW was the proverbial phoenix of the wrestling industry in how it so quickly rose to notoriety in the years following its debut in 2019. However, after an impressive run of prosperity, things have been a bit more bumpy for All Elite Wrestling the last two years.

No longer are they filling up arenas and dominating the television ratings in the all-important 18 to 34 demographics. With WWE amid a hot streak, they have become a destination and rumors continue to swirl about unhappy AEW talent wanting to make the jump to the competition. But this week the promotion got some great news about a few injured stars.
Jay White, Kenny Omega, and Kota Ibushi could return to AEW soon
On Monday, former NJPW champion and notable 2023 AEW addition Kota Ibushi took to his social media and posted a picture following a training session with pal Kenny Omega.
“Last practice is over!!,” Ibushi wrote in the caption for the image. “We haven’t seen each other quite a bit, but this time we’ve got a hard push. Tuned up for AEW which will be soon. I still have a long time to fulfill my promises! The scenery sure has changed! We’re both on fire!!”
The post is just the latest video and images of the long-time tag partners training. The former AEW champion has been sidelined following May surgery to deal with his ongoing battle with diverticulitis. Ibushi has also been out of action after suffering a right tibiofibular ligament tear and a lateral ligament injury in his right ankle in January.
Along with the news about Omega and Ibushi, a new report from Wrestle Purists gave an update on another former NJPW champion in AEW, Jay White. The outlet claimed that after being sidelined since July, the Bang Bang Gang leader’s return to the promotion is imminent.
