JBL has been a long-tenured part of WWE, with a number of gimmick adjustments along the way. But, one way or the other, for the better part of 30 years, he has been a WWE guy. But in recent months, we’ve seen him pop up at a few non-WWE events, including a TNA show (which, is almost WWE adjacent). But his willingness to pop up at random “smaller” shows did get some fans wondering.
Could JBL be All Elite
Sportskeeda asked him that during a question and answer session. To his credit, the one time “Wrestling God” and savvy businessman gave a fairly safe answer. Never say never, but also quickly pointed out how long he has worked with WWE. Which is just smart business. He’s not going to slam the door on a Tony Khan opportunity, but he remains loyal to WWE given the time and history that exists for him there. Someone like JBL could be an interesting hire for AEW, to be fair. He could wrestle, he could manage and he could do commentary. He has experience in all facets, and has done well.

In pro wrestling, you never say never. Very few times is something an absolute truth. Like, when I was a kid, I never thought Hulk Hogan would turn heel or leave WWE. He did both. We probably never expected The Undertaker to see his WrestleMania streak end, but it did. Many said never will CM Punk return to WWE, and now he’s days away from a possible main event match on a PLE. Tony Khan has deep pockets and could write a big check that would get just about anyone’s attention, except maybe John Cena. It sounds like JBL has no desire or intention to leave, but everyone has a price.
