Earlier in the month, Bobby Lashley and MVP left WWE. They have not been on TV for months, with rumors they would be leaving. Compared to other departures, WWE has not made a public statement. Basically, all they did, was move both profiles to the alumni section. Still, MVP has been vocal about both leaving and possibly reforming The Hurt Business.

At this point, both are able to sign anywhere as their WWE deals expired. Naturally, everyone wants to know where they will land. While a WWE return is still possible, Ibou of Wrestle Purists, has more info. They noted how Bobby Lashley is going to AEW. Also, they added how he will be working in Japan and for Bloodsport. The report only spoke about Lashley, hence MVP might not be part of the deal.

AEW Is Known To Sign Former WWE Superstars Like Bobby Lashley

As for going to AEW, it is not a major surprise. We have seen Tony Khan offer huge sums of money to bring in former WWE superstars. Some have worked well, like Toni Storm and Jon Moxley, while others, such as CM Punk and Mark Henry, have not been the biggest scores. Still, Lashley could have returned to TNA and remained somewhat in WWE’s picture. By going to AEW, WWE will not speak to him until the deal is over.

Despite such an extensive stay in pro wrestling, Lashley remains in great shape. He is too old for MMA and not a great actor, therefore Hollywood is out of the equation. AEW does have resources to bring The Hurt Business back, just under a new name and without Cedric Alexander. So, do you think Bobby Lashley going to AEW will change anything?
