Ahead of UFC St. Louis, heavyweight star Derrick Lewis claimed he has been in conversations with WWE “for months” about a potential match. Following the event, UFC President Dana White was asked about “Black Beast’s” comments and revealed that many UFC fighters “dream about doing a WWE match” and he would be open to letting it happen.
With the two companies merged under the parent company TKO Group Holdings, a crossover is as likely as ever. So with that in mind, let’s look at 10 UFC stars we could see inside a WWE ring sooner than later.
Conor McGregor
Conor McGregor has flirted with the idea of a match in WWE and has even had battles on social media with some of the company’s top stars from the United Kingdom. In an era where the promotion has worked with music superstar Bad Bunny and social media influencer Logan Paul, “Notorious” seems like a perfect fit in a WWE ring for a one-off matchup at WrestleMania.
Especially if Dana White is more willing than ever to allow his most famous fighter to work with a company under the same umbrella.

Michael Chandler
Michael Chandler made a surprise appearance at an episode of Raw in his native Missouri and they allowed him to use the platform to promote his upcoming fight with McGregor. “Iron” admitted he enjoyed the experience more than he expected, and if he were to pull off an upset win over the Irishman at UFC 303, his stock would be as high as ever and it might be a perfect time to maximize that value with a WWE crossover.
Derrick Lewis
Lewis is the reason for this list and a jump into a WWE ring this year is extremely possible. WWE isn’t gearing its product toward having as many giants as they once did. But bringing in the 6-foot-3 fighter who probably walks around at 300 pounds between bouts would be a fun experiment. Not just because of his size and history as the record holder for most knockouts in UFC history but the big man has a lot of personality.

Colby Covington
Since UFC fans started getting “heel” Colby Covington the former interim welterweight champion has used the theme music of WWE legend Kurt Angle for his entrances to the Octagon. “Chaos” is definitely an athlete who would do well in the ring, but his natural ability to rub people the wrong way, like Logan Paul, could prove to be useful in the fictional world of WWE.
Tai Tuivasa
In many ways, Tai Tuivasa is the Australian version of Derrick Lewis. While he is not as good an athlete, he is still a fun-loving heavyweight who knocks people out and can put on a show. “Bam Bam’s” natural charisma makes him a good fit inside WWE, and with the company trying to further build its audience in the land down under, he would be a good option for a one-off fight on the next Australian premium live event.
Joaquin Buckley
Following his big co-main event win at UFC St. Louis, a video made the rounds on social media of Joaquin Buckley storming out of the Octagon and running into the crowd to greet WWE legend, and St. Louis native, Randy Orton. Clearly, the welterweight star is a fan of the company and would certainly relish a chance to jump in the ring alongside his hero.
Kayla Harrison
Ronda Rousey became a star in WWE after retiring from UFC. So why not bring in the bigger and better version? While Rousey earned a silver medal in the Olympics, Kayla Harrison won a pair of gold medals and the two-time PFL champion is a better talker than the former WWE champion.
Kevin Holland
Speaking of talking, Kevin Holland was given the name “big mouth” by Dana White for good reason. He endlessly talks trash about foes before and during fights. However, he is an exciting competitor and a pretty good athlete. “Trailblazer” is a character and it would not be surprising if he took to professional wrestling and the WWE spectacle much quicker than people might think.
Julianna Pena
Former bantamweight queen Julianna Pena would be another fun fit to make a jump from the UFC to WWE. The company is always looking for the next big Latina star and the Ultimate Fighter Season 18 winner is double-tough and more than capable of dealing with the rigors of the industry. Furthermore, she is similar to Covington in being gifted at rubbing people the wrong way, so she would be a ready-made heel for the company.

Jamahal Hill
Former light heavyweight king Jamahal Hill is one of the funnier members of the roster who has built a successful YouTube channel. He understands how to put on a show and knows how to communicate with an audience. Along with his athletic gifts as a one-time UFC champ, he would be an under-the-radar but intriguing option to make a move from the UFC to WWE.
