Bryan Danielson has been with AEW for a few years. His original contract is actually running out soon, barring a quiet renewal which seems probable. By all accounts, Danielson has loved his time in AEW and the company has loved having him. Tony Khan has considered him a close confidant and someone he’d want booking AEW shows if ever Khan himself could not.

And, Danielson has previously been up front about how much longer he thinks he can wrestle. Those serious health issues that hampered a lot of his time in WWE? They’ve followed him in AEW too. On top of the medical issues, the American Dragon did admit to promising his child that he would be spending more time with them-meaning his time as a full time in ring performer is indeed winding down. Though, compared to what he was doing in WWE, nothing in AEW is really “full time”, is it?

But, with that in mind, and knowing 2024 is his last year as anything close to a full time performer, what does Tony Khan have to say about Danielson and his AEW future?

To be honest, it’s a broken record.

And to be fair, that’s a good thing. Tony Khan has always been heaping praise on Danielson since his arrival. Nothing has happened to change that, so why should his tune change? It hasn’t, and for good reason. Being honest here, I don’t recall ever hearing anything critical of him from his WWE time either, so this isn’t surprising. Khan remains up front that he wants Danielson to be with the company for the rest of his life basically. Which, as a fan of Daniel Bryan, I struggle with. It would be very interesting to see how things go if and when Triple H and Nick Khan opt to induct him into the WWE Hall of Fame.

But for Danielson, for now, life is good. He has a shot at the AEW title in Wembley-what could be his last big arena main event? He could see his wife and sister in law in AEW perhaps. And his boss openly loves him, in a totally platonic and workplace friendly way. There are worse situations to be in, for sure. So, will Tony Khan have Bryan Danielson win the title at All In?
