In pro wrestling, many overstay their welcome, while some depart earlier than expected. A common phrase in the business is “never say never.” We have seen countless wrestlers retire or leave for years, only to get that itch and return. And, that is similar to what is going on with Gabbi Tuft.
For those unaware, Tuft already worked in WWE once. At the time, the transgender wrestler went by Tyler Reks. In four years, she did very little. Basically, it felt like WWE brought someone to the main roster without any plans. Therefore, she teamed with Curt Hawkins and also as a singles superstar. It never amounted to anything, outside of a ton of losses and some random wins against enhancement talent.
Gabbi Tuft Returns At West Coast Pro
After requesting a release in August 2012, WWE granted the wish. Tuft would team with Hawkins once in 2014 in her only bout after WWE. Now, she is back inside the ring for West Coast Pro. At the Killin’ Them Softly event on June 25 at the Irvine Improv in Irvine Spectrum, California, the in-ring return is set. As of now, no opponent has been named.
Now, because Tuft is transgender, not everyone will be happy. We are seeing the United States divided on transgender athletes. Both sides have valid points. Although, pro wrestling is so unique. It is does matter if the person is gay, straight, transgender or has no legs and arms. Wrestling fans usually do not care as they could watch a woman, with no legs, submit a man, with no arms, and they would still get a round of applause. So, any interest in seeing transgender wrestler Gabbi Tuft make her return?
