After some recent developments, this question is worth asking: will Arn Anderson return to WWE and manage Cody Rhodes?

Not long ago, current champion Cody Rhodes made an interesting comment. As he’s gone about defending his world title, he said he might need himself a classic manager. Managers are something that WWE does not use near as much now as when I was a kid. There are some, sure, but not many. And Rhodes isn’t one who you immediately would think needs a manager, but he said it, so here we are.
Now, back in AEW, Rhodes had himself someone in a coach role. And it was someone long known to Rhodes, but also to the WWE Universe: Arn Anderson. While Rhodes departed AEW a couple years back, Anderson was still under contract. He isn’t anymore, with his deal recently expiring. Knowing that the Enforcer was now free, and remembering what Rhodes openly wondered, people began leaping to conclusions.
Could it happen?
And following his AEW departure, Anderson recently appeared on Busted Open. During his appearance, he was asked about returning to WWE to manage Cody Rhodes. Thus far, Anderson said that he and Cody have had no such discussions. It sounded as though he had chatted with the American Nightmare recently enough, but the managerial topic never came up. Or, perhaps it did and the WWE Hall of Famer just won’t say so.
Anderson wouldn’t have come out and said anything. That would not be cool, to ruin any possible surprise. But the big takeaway for me? Anderson didn’t say he wouldn’t want the job. In fact, I thought he sounded intrigued by the opportunity, even if he noted he’s not getting any younger. So, will WWE pair Cody Rhodes and Arn Anderson together again?
