Considering what he’s done the past few years, this probably won’t shock people, but Roman Reigns is on the verge of making more history.

Every day the Tribal Chief holds the gold, it’s another day on his already historic reign.

His streak stands at over 1200 days. Only three men’s champions stand between Reigns and the top of the mountain.

He has just under 300 days before he would surpass Hulk Hogan.

Well beyond Hogan’s number, and nearly 1000 more days from now, sits Bob Backlund.

But that’s not the big one.

If Reigns somehow holds onto the title for just under 1600 more days…he would eclipse Bruno Sammartino.

I truly hope we don’t see the Tribal Chief still holding the gold over four years from now…but I never expected it to get to this, either.

But…while those record reigns remain targets, something far more reachable is staring him right in the face.

Roman Reigns On The Verge Of More History

According to Cagematch, Roman Reigns is sitting at 999 career victories.

Meaning, his next win would be his 1000th career victory, which is a pretty nice number.

When you figure that the leader of the Bloodline barely wrestles anymore, it isn’t too hard to determine when he should have a chance to reach that milestone.

As things currently sit, Reigns will main event night two of WrestleMania 40.

We also expect Reigns to team with his cousin, The Rock, on night one of the biggest show of the year.

No one expects him to wrestle a match between now and then.

So…assuming the machine keeps rolling, by the time WWE wraps up WrestleMania weekend, Roman Reigns may also reach 1000 wins.

And if that win happens on Sunday night, he will stretch his title reign to almost 1300 days.

I have to think, if Reigns leaves WrestleMania 40 as champion, he won’t be losing until he overtakes Hulk Hogan.
