Eric Bischoff: I’d Rather Chew Off My Arm Than Sit Down For Two Hours Of AEW

There was a time when thinking about Eric Bischoff in WWE was unimaginable. Remember, he tried to put Vince McMahon out of business with WCW.

Eventually, WWE won the war and a ton of WCW talent made the jump. Even Bischoff joined and spent several years as onscreen authority.

Like most talent, Bischoff continued to work for other promotions. He made a few AEW appearances, but he seemed over them while speaking on Strictly Business.

“Do I watch the show the show every week? F— no,” said Bischoff. “I’d rather chew off my arm than sit down for two hours of AEW.”

“It’s that bad creatively for me. But, I do drop in.”

“I do follow certain aspects of AEW that either I’m interested in, or I want to better understand for the purposes of doing this show for example.”

AEW is looking, and needs, somewhat of a reset. CM Punk did bring them money and attention, but it was never smooth.

Will Ospreay recently signed with AEW and Kazuchika Okada was reveled as the latest addition on Dynamite. Also, Mercedes Mone should debut next week.

Even with all those naming coming in, AEW needs to balance them. Despite having five hours of TV to fill each week, lots of talent still do not appear.

Perhaps, Bischoff and AEW can make peace in the future, but it will take time. We never thought Eric would appear on WWE TV, let alone hug Vince; but, it still happened.
