The Undertaker might go-down as the greatest superstar in WWE history, but he urges cation about wrestlers safety after too many injuries.
Undertaker Urges Caution To Current Wrestlers Over Safety
When the Undertaker was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, he deserved his own wing. That is how much he means not only to WWE, but all of pro wrestling.
For decades, he never left Vince McMahon and few can say that. Of course, nowadays, nobody wants to be associated with Vince.
As expected, Undertaker is no stranger to broken bones, surgeries and even being burned during a pyro mishap. Still, he has an important message for the current and future wrestlers.
During the Six Feet Under podcast, Undertaker commented how today’s wrestlers are so athletic, they push their bodies too far.
“These guys are so athletic, off the chart athleticism,” said Undertaker. “They go out there and they give 110% every time on TV and everything like that.”
“I just wish, if they can get a little bit more aspect of the storytelling. They’ll realize that they won’t have to take as many chances with their body.”
“Maybe they don’t want it because they have seen me walk backstage and maybe they don’t want 30 years. But, I think the careers if they don’t learn storytelling aspect a little bit better, they’re going to continue to rely on the athleticism and then more injuries come.”
When Undertaker gives advice, everyone should listen. His advanced knowledge on pro wrestling is something only a few people know.
It does seem we are seeing more injuries in WWE, AEW and other promotions. Basically, we are at the point where wrestlers take unnecessary risks.
Why someone is jumping off a 20 foot balcony to hit the floor with 20 fans in attendance is nuts. Yet, they continue to put their lives in danger.
So, is Undertaker right that wrestlers need to use caution for everyone’s safety?
