TNA President Scott D’Amore was fired by Anthem Sports in a move that has left everyone shocked, considering all he did for the company.

Earlier today, TNA made a drastic change. Scott D’Amore is no longer the President of TNA as he has been fired.

We are still waiting on details.

The decision was made by their parent company, Anthem Sports & Entertainment Inc. Now, Anthony Cicione is running everything.

PWInsider reports how the decision seemingly came from Anthem Sports & Entertainment Inc’s owner, Len Asper. Going forward, Anthem will run daily operations with Cicione at the head of the table.

Fightful Select added how a Zoom meeting occurred this afternoon. While details are still unclear, the meeting was done to explain the recent decisions.

In the very early days of TNA, D’Amore worked as the manger of Team Canada. He had a few runs with the promotion before being named president.

Less than a month ago, the company dropped the name Impact Wrestling and returned to TNA. That move got a lot of people, especially diehard fans, really excited.

D’Amore needs to be credited for saving the promotion. Jeff Jarrett started TNA, but Dixie Carter and her family’s money kept it afloat.

After a long run, Carter brought in Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff. They were supposed to save them and also help beat WWE.

Neither happened as WWE destroyed them in ratings and Hogan’s crew only made matters worse. They were on the verge of going out of business before D’Amore rescued them.

Over the past few years, he dropped the ridiculous angles and stopped brining in expensive wrestlers that nobody cared about. Again, see Hogan and his crew.

Undoubtedly, this a massive blow to TNA. We will have to see how they respond after making the change.
