Mick Foley seems poised to come out of retirement for his 60th birthday to compete one more time in a violent deathmatch.

Mick Foley May End Retirement For Deathmatch On 60th Birthday

Believe it or not, Mick Foley is 58 years old and turns 60 on June 7, 2025. Most people want to relax, spend time with the family or go on an adventure.

As for the WWE Hall of Famer, he wants to come out of retirement. And, not for a regular match where he could be protected by the other competitors or his surroundings.

Instead, he is considering a deathmatch (which brings hardcore to a new level). On the Foley Is Pod show, he spoke with longtime wrestling personality, Conrad Thompson.

“Just to put it out there, Conrad — 60 is right around the corner,” said Foley. “I’m thinking of doing one final match for my 60th birthday.”

“Deathmatch. “I’m not kidding.”

“I think it would be a great incentive to drop those 100 big ones [pounds]. And I think it might be fun.”

When given options, he wanted to face either Jon Moxley or Matt Cardona. Both are great options and that would be seen as an honor to face Foley in what should be his final match.

Moxley, before The Shield existed, was supposed to work a program with Foley in WWE. They just started filming an angle, when WWE’s medical team pulled Foley.

Cardona went from a WWE superstar to Indy God over the past few years. Basically, he is the biggest success story of anyone who was released over the past few years by WWE.

Foley has not wrestled in about a decade. Therefore, he is not looking for an instant classic inside the squared circle.
