We knew Matt Riddle went to rehab more than once while under WWE contract, but apparently he was there because of strippers and cocaine.

Matt Riddle had tons of potential in the UFC and WWE. Both times, his antics outside of the ring and octagon resulted in his termination.
The UFC fired him for repeatedly failing drug tests for marijuana. Also, in WWE, he was sent to rehab several times for drugs and he caused more problems.
Now, we a learning more details on what transpired at the end. On the The MMA Hour, Riddle noted how WWE kept his failed drug tests a secret.
They did this by simply writing him off TV. Although, fans quickly learned it was over substance abuse issues.
“They wanted to keep it on the hush hush and they punished me by fining me,” said Riddle. “I went to the strip club and did some cocaine a couple of times and I failed the drug test.”

“Well, that was for all of them. It was cocaine each time.”
Always Bringing WWE Bad Press
Riddle is known for his use of marijuana, so much that WWE incorporated it into his gimmick. Truthfully, the cocaine and strippers was not a major surprise.
Even after several rehab trips, there were more problems. So, he left WWE with little choice, outside of releasing him.
”Then TKO merger and then plus my shenanigans, just acting a fool half the time didn’t help things,” said Riddle.
“Honestly, the day I got fired, I remember, and I don’t mean this in a bad way, it’s not like mean, it’s not a dig to WWE, but it was probably one of the biggest reliefs I’ve had in a long time.”
He continued how he saw rehab as a vacation. Really, what a mindset.
After being released, Riddle recently appeared for NJPW. He just won the NJPW World TV Championship earlier in the week.
So, yet another wild Matt Riddle story involving rehab, strippers and cocaine.
