Jade Cargill originally signed with the WWE in September 2023, but has only appeared once on programming, the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble. Still, what comes next for this larger-than-life superstar remains a mystery. A new report highlights what the company’s original plans for this talent were.
The WWE’s Original Plans For Jade Cargill
Cargill had a solid performance at the Royal Rumble. She entered in at number 28 and eliminated three stars before being taken out by Liv Morgan.
During the Royal Rumble, she had an incredible face-off with Bianca Belair. She also eliminated Nia Jax.
Since that appearance, fans haven’t seen much of Cargill. PWInsider’s Mike Johnson is reporting that Jade has yet to be assigned to either Monday Night RAW or Friday Night SmackDown.
The report notes that Cargill’s original plan, several months ago, was for her to be added to the Red brand. With that being said, his could end up changing.
In the weeks that followed her signing, the star has been on RAW, SmackDown, and NXT. She hinted at joining each brand.
Reports surfaced after the Rumble that Cargill had a challenging time remembering everything in the ring. Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Radio stated that she had issues recalling all the information she needed when it came to matches.
Alvarez urged that Cargill needs to do several matches with veteran WWE female talent while on the road to get her ready for her WM debut. If she ends up participating in the company’s flagship event, that is.
Jade Cargill’s Wrestling Journey
The star began wrestling in April 2019 when she attended a WWE tryout. She ended up training at various other wrestling schools before signing with AEW in late 2020.
Cargill would have an incredible run with All Elite Wrestling. She became the first AEW TBS Champion, enjoying a 508-day run, the longest for any title in that promotion.
