There were big names and big moments from the WWE WrestleMania 40 Presser, but Bayley was completely snubbed and CM Punk did not approve.
CM Punk Defends Bayley After WWE Totally Ignores Her At WrestleMania 40 Presser
WWE went all-out during their WrestleMania 40 Presser. They brought in several huge names like The Rock, Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, Becky Lynch and Rhea Ripley.
Although, one particular superstar was absent and WWE did not even mention her name once. Yes, we are taking about Bayley.
Only weeks ago, she entered the Women’s Royal Rumble Match at number three. She broke a record for the longest time inside a female Royal Rumble Match and walked away the victor.
She already told us she will take on her former Damage CTRL member, Iyo Sky. The stable quickly tossed Bayley last week.
CM Punk was also at the WrestleMania 40 Presser, but not as a wrestler. He is out until around late spring or early summer.
Still, he could not let WWE ignore Bayley. He posted an Instagram Story, which he demanded more respect.
“I feel the need to, as a broadcast journalist, express the fact that I really wanted to talk about Bayley and how she won the Royal Rumble for the women,” said Punk. “She wasn’t represented on the poster, I felt like she needed a presence there.”
“I got caught up talking about The Rock and Reigns and Cody and Seth, and all that, but very much in the main event mix is Bayley. She won the Rumble, don’t forget it. Put some respect on her name.”
We know Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes will headline one night of WrestleMania 40. There are some huge matches that could close the other night, but WWE is yet to confirm.
Honestly, it seems like Bayley will not be booked in the main event slot.
