As per the United States Patent and Trademark Officer, the WWE filed a term that may be teasing a name for a new stable. More on this story, below.
New WWE Trademark – What (Or Who) Could It Be For?
The term filed for was “Final Testament”. This could be the name of a certain new faction that just debuted.
The trademark was registered this past Sunday, January 7th. It’s going to be used for “entertainment” purposes.
Rewinding a bit, this past SmackDown, during their New Year’s Revolution special, Authors of Pain (Rezar and Akam) made a splashing return, along with Paul Ellering. They have seemingly aligned with Karrion Kross and Scarlett.
During AOP’s return segment on SD, Kross was donning a shirt that said, “The Final Prayer”. All arrows are pointing to the idea that the trademark above might be the name of this stable.
Karrion Kross & His New WWE Stable
During the December 22nd, 2023, edition of SD, a cryptic vignette aired with Kross and Scarlett. He talked about Rey Mysterio, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Drew McIntyre and how they “changed” after he feuded with them.
Kross also mentioned about placing an hourglass in front of the Bloodline. He warned of their future implosion.
Is WWE Partnering With Other Promotions?
At the end of the vignette, Kross hinted at a potential return of AOP. It only took mere weeks after that for the tag team to return, attacking Bobby Lashley and the Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) from behind in the ring, while Kross, Ellering, and Scarlett were distracting them on stage.
Akam and Rezar left the WWE in the fall of 2020, after bring released. Meanwhile, Kross and Scarlett were fired in November 2021, only to return in August 2022.
While Kross has been in a number of programs since his 2022 comeback, nothing has quite “clicked” yet with the fans. So, here’s hoping he, along with AOP can enjoy some success in working together.
