As had been announced last week on SmackDown, Seth Rollins provides an injury update on RAW this week.

News broke over the weekend that Seth Rollins had sustained a legitimate knee injury, and his next few months became very much up in the air.

And, if you are a fan of wrestling (and if you are reading this, you must be), you know that the next few months are massive on the WWE calendar.

Initially, you hear knee injury and think this could be one that requires surgery and extensive time off. Recent examples of that include Charlotte Flair.

But, as time passed, we were hearing that WWE was cautiously optimistic that Rollins, with rest, could be healed up in time for WrestleMania.

Not ideal to miss the Rumble and Elimination Chamber, if it comes to that…but I expect many would sacrifice those two for one WrestleMania headlining match.

So, we all tuned in to the January 22nd RAW to find out exactly what Seth would do, or what WWE would do, relative to the World Heavyweight Championship.

Rollins cut to the chase and said the knee news was not as bad as he had expected. But it was also not as good as he had hoped for.

He announced he had a grade two tear of his MCL. Doctors advised that with surgery, he would miss 3 to 4 months.

If that is legit and not storyline, then if he follows that course of action, it seems more than likely he would miss Philadelphia in April.

As Seth had gotten the details out, he was interrupted by GUNTHER and Imperium.

The leader of Imperium acted as though Rollins had basically thrown in the towel. That got the champ fired up.

He told them that the trio should have let him finish. He added that he does not care what the doctors say.

The champ is going to do whatever it takes to keep his promise and work WrestleMania.

The two exchanged passionate promos, but capped off their segment with a handshake. They then made way for the opening tag match between New Day and Imperium.
