For AEW, All In from England should be considered a major success. The card delivered and fans seemed to enjoy everything from start to finish.

The biggest blemish from that eventing was as the main card was starting. CM Punk and Jack Perry got into a physical brawl backstage.

Their issues go back months, when Perry wanted to use real glass for a spot. Punk saw it as not needed and thus, the two have beef.

Order was somehow restored and Punk opened the card by defeating Samoa Joe. Before the day was over, Perry and Punk were both suspended.

Only days later, Punk was released by AEW. Tony Khan expressed feeling unsafe over what occurred backstage.

We all know Punk would return to WWE at Survivor Series. He has his sights set on winning the Royal Rumble and being in the main event of WrestleMania 40.

Perry’s suspension ended some time ago. Although, he is yet to return to AEW.

At NJPW’s Battle in the Valley, Perry made a surprise appearance by attacking Shota Umino. Then, he showed the crowd is AEW contract and ripped it up right there.

While nobody has commented, it seems like Perry is still with AEW. Basically, this feels like an angle.

Also, we should note he wore a black armband with “Scapegoat” written on it. Clearly, he is still upset with Punk or this is part of his new gimmick.

The whole situation is pretty cool. Most thought Perry would return to AEW and again team with Killswitch to oppose Christian Cage and Nick Wayne.
