Jack Perry should be back on TV soon and apparently he will be responsible for some other big moments AEW has planned.
Big AEW Face Turn Planned When Jack Perry Returns?
For a time, Jurassic Express were one of the longer running stables in AEW. Eventually, Marko Stunt did not have his contract renewed and Christian Cage became an associate.
Together, Jack Perry and Luchasaurus won the AEW Tag Team Championships. Then, things started to change.
Christian turned on the two originals, with Luchasaurus eventually joining the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
Perry turned heel as well over the summer, but was suspended for a backstage fight with CM Punk at All In. Of course, Punk was released over the entire situation and then he returned to WWE.
During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer went over the current angles in AEW and sees two changes coming. That would involve Perry and Luchasaurus reuniting as faces.
Meltzer noted since Perry was not The Devil (surprise, it was Adam Cole), working with Luchasaurus and Cage makes sense. Remember, Christian has his own stable with Nick Wayne and Luchasaurus, who he renamed Killswitch.
Since coming to AEW, Christian’s career has skyrocketed. He has consistently been in the world title or TNT Championship picture.
Unless something changes, look for Jurassic Express to work opposite Cage and Wayne. All those competitors have been working with Adam Copeland and the angle only intensified after Worlds End.
First, we need Perry to return from suspension. Then, Killswitch probably joins him after Christian’s berating.
If AEW does see Perry as a singles star, putting him back into a tag team might not be the right direction. Although, you should not promote someone who was suspended for inappropriate behavior.
So, when Jack Perry returns to AEW TV, will we see Jurassic Express reunite or has that duo become stale?
