In a company where we’ve learned many times to never say never…what’s the word on a Sasha Banks return to WWE?
Or, would she even just bring herself back as Mercedes Mone?
I have to think that IF she returns (or, I suppose, when she does), WWE would want to bring her back as the world-renowned Sasha Banks.
Not sure how Mercedes Mone would feel about that, but we may find out.
She is arguably one of the biggest names out there, and fans are itching to know where she’s going.
For right now, the former Banks is on the road to recovery, having sustained an ankle injury while working in New Japan.
What’s The Word On A Sasha Banks Return To WWE?
The twist is that, for the longest time, Mone to Tony Khan and AEW felt like a lock.
She had done work for NJPW, and Khan and AEW have great ties to the promotion.
Mercedes even showed up at All In, though she was a fan in attendance (but one that AEW made sure to get on camera).
But through all of this, no one knows if Mone is going to come back…or if Sasha Banks will.
According to creative sources within the company, we need to keep a few things in mind.
First, WWE officials have been asked, and they confirm they have no creative plans for Banks.
A lack of plans points to her not yet being under contract.
Of course, things can be done extremely quietly in order to ensure a dynamite return pop.
Even former Superstar Konnan believes that all roads lead people back to WWE, and that that is where Mone may end up.
And as much as hell might have to freeze over to pull it off?
CM Punk did just return…so it could happen.
Could we see Sasha Banks in next year’s Royal Rumble?
