The world of professional wrestling always tends to be a little bit in flux, and with a former WWE Superstar now a free agent, that remains the case.

Now, to be completely clear, this former Superstar is not a recent release-though, those talents cut by the company following the TKO formation?

They will be free to sign elsewhere very soon.

No, in this case it is a talent whom I thought they should have never dropped.

Deonna Purrazzo was growing on the NXT brand when her time with the company came to a close.

Since her untimely release back in 2020, the Virtuosa has made a name for herself elsewhere, most notably IMPACT.

She is still with the company…but not for long.

According to Fightful, the former Knockouts Champion will become a free agent on January 1st.

Per the report, Purrazzo will see her current contract expire. She has expressed a desire to explore options outside of IMPACT.

The former NXT Superstar has recently said she would be open to a return to the company.

And seriously, why wouldn’t she be?

When she was let go in 2020, for starters, she was not nearly the star she is today.

More important, WWE is not the company it once was. Much has been said of being under new ownership and new leadership, but it is important.

We’ve already seen Triple H exhibit a willingness to bring back Superstars who had been run out of town by his father in law. Or, who just weren’t up to snuff back then.

Someone like Deonna Purrazzo would be an interesting option for WWE, or anywhere else for that matter.

Becoming a free agent on January 1st, however, and I cannot help but wonder if she isn’t possibly going to show up in Tampa.
