Bryan Danielson Pushes For Nigel McGuiness Match At AEW All In

AEW’s Bryan Danielson has said he will retire somewhere in the next 12 months. It remains to be seen if he can step-away full-time as he loves the business.

We have noticed something interesting about Danielson the past year. He is becoming more injury prone, which is understandable as he ages and continues to wrestle an intense style.

Although, he did admit to slowing-down As a result, he sees a potential match with Nigel McGuinness at All in from England in August.

Danielson spoke with The Daily Mail and feels now is the right time to meet the retired AEW commentator. Basically, he sees the match making sense since neither is no longer at the top of their game.

“Maybe one day I can get a rematch with Nigel McGuiness at Wembley,” said Danielson. “I know Nigel was really big on it last year, but, I at the time, I wasn’t sure if he could hang with me.”

“Now, he has worked his -ss off and got himself in great shape. Since then, my health has a little bit deteriorated so now I see that as a real possibility.”

The two have met before, including several matches between 2006 and 2009. Danielson noted how the internet was much different compared to only 17 years ago and therefore not many saw them compete.

“He and I had some incredible matches that comparatively few people saw,” said Danielson. “Our generation has such a nostalgia for Wembley and especially UK wrestlers.”

“Nigel has talked about the SummerSlam in 1992 and as an American I never even thought I’d see Britain. So, I’ve just marveled at this thing.”
