It’s another SmackDown In A Nutshell, and there is just one simple question…are you ready for WarGames?

Survivor Series hits us in less than a day, and the rosters are in Chicago for a few days of fun and…well…fighting.

Tonight the blue brand is focused on it’s own go-home show. While we won’t know who earns the women’s WarGames advantage until Saturday due to corporate sponsorships, there will be final hype nevertheless.

We should hear from the final member for the face women, Becky Lynch. The Man joined the team to close out last Friday’s show, but never had a chance to actually talk to fans last week.

Considering the show is right here, it’s a safe bet everyone involved will be hanging around. I’d bet we won’t see Orton or any others until Saturday, but there is more to Survivor Series than just those two caged contests.

If all that final hype wasn’t enough, we do have a tag team title match to keep things interesting.

With that said, it is time to find out…

Let’s crack open this Nutshell and find out!

Best Match of the night:

Honestly…for me, I have to go with the tag match featuring LA Knight and Kevin Owens against Grayson Waller and Austin Theory.

Worst match of the night:

Calling it the worst seems perhaps a bit harsh…but I can say I was disappointed by the tag match.

I do hope they are going somewhere with things, because initially you’d expect a union of Lashley and the Street Profits would be gold.

Thus far, it’s given us new gear and a new theme, but otherwise a lot of disappointment.

Like right now, Bobby looks like he wants to punt the Profits. It’s been an odd heel turn thus far.

Crowd Chants of the Night:

Becky

E-S-T

Star of the Night

The crowd really popped for Kevin Owens and LA Knight. That whole segment (including Waller and Theory) was really fun.

Otherwise, I would say that the SmackDown women of WarGames got a lot of attention for the night.

Spot of the Night:

Not sure that one was worthy tonight.

Jobber of the Night:

Kind of feels like we can give this one to Carlito?

He got a ton of offense in on Santos, but was felled by a sneaky knee to the arm and then some more backstage brawling.

And just like that, it’s going to be Dragon Lee getting the PLE match.

Upset of the Night:

The lion’s share of Damage CTRL didn’t seem too thrilled to have had Bayley line up a tag match tonight.

So Dakota said Bayley should be a part of it.

It’s not a question of it…it’s only a matter of when they kick her from the group.

Holy Sh** Moment of the Night:

Did not take long to get teased drama between Charlotte and Becky.

A week after we saw cracks, we have now seen Ridge walk out on Butch

Botch of the night:

It has to be said. I know that it was done for reasons…but when Dragon Lee hit the hurricanrana on Escobar backstage…it took Santos a second before he figured out where to go.

Commentary of the night:

Graves is back and we got some funny commentary about Yuppies and comparing Pretty Deadly to Hall and Oates.

It’s a PLE week, what can I say?

LOL Moment of the night:

Graves, acting the part and making up for lost time, was like “O-M-G I just realized that was Theory pretending to be Kevin Owens”.

Noteworthy Moment:

The entrance looks a bit different, presumably not a permanent change but one for the premium live event to accomodate more seating, or not obstruct so many with a massive screen.

I dig how this one looks though, so it works.

It’s funny seeing the WarGames cage over the single ring.

I have hope that having her work with three of the biggest women in WWE will lead to boosting Shotzi. Maybe?

Overall lowlights:

If you weren’t a fan of tag team wrestling, then tonight was not your night.

Overall highlights:

Not a shabby go-home show, but I will say I was mildly surprised that we didn’t manage to have the RAW men’s participants show up.

Granted, we got the SmackDown women because Lynch works on RAW…but it’s still less than 24 before the show, so anything goes?

After the final bell:

With so much going on, I feel like Saturday night could be crazy chaotic and eventful.

Meaning, you have Orton’s return…will he come in and exit without turning on anyone?

Becky and Charlotte…can they co-exist all night?

And what about Bayley? Can her mates still keep her in Damage CTRL?

So…are you ready for WarGames? After this SmackDown In a Nutshell, I know I am!
