Now, let us get to the latest Bellator results!

Jason Jackson pulled a stunner, finishing Yaroslav Amosov and becoming the new welterweight champion in the process.

The bout headlined Bellator 301 live on Showtime from the Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Illinois.

Jackson handed Amosov his first loss in 27 career fights, improving to 17-4 himself. He has now won seven in a row, with his marking the eighth finish of his career.

Along with the Bellator title, Jackson has also captured gold in Titan FC and Legacy Fighting Alliance at welterweight.

Patchy Mix unified the bantamweight titles with a submission win over Sergio Pettis. Mix secured the hold of the night, a rear-naked choke, to gain the victory as Pettis was going out in the second round.

The 30-year-old Mix claimed the interim title earlier this year with a knockout of Raufeon Stots. This marked his 19th career win and sixth consecutive. A total of 13 of those wins have come by submission now.

Bellator Results: Former Champs Land Victories

The first three bouts of the main card went to the scorecards, as Alexandr Shabily knocked Patricky Pitbull from the ongoing lightweight world grand prix.

Shabily controlled the former champion, sweeping not only the scores at cageside, but all five rounds of the bout.

A pair of former champions earned decision wins, as A.J. McKee and Raufeon Stots were victorious.

McKee downed Sidney Outlaw at lightweight with Stots topping Danny Sabatello at bantamweight.

For McKee, this was his third straight win since a loss to Patricio Pitbull for the featherweight title and made him 3-0 since moving to lightweight. Stots, a former interim champion, is now 2-0 vs. Sabatello.

Bellator Results: Four Finishes Among Prelim Bouts

Four of the prelim fights were stopped early, including three by submission.

Tim Wilde landed a nice head-kick to finish Mike Hamel in their lightweight contest late in the third round. Picking up submission wins were Keri Taylor-Melendez, Matheus Mattos and Ramazan Kuramagomedov.

Decision winners included Archie Colgan, Denise Kielholtz, Timur Khizriev, Islam Mamedov, Cody Law and Yves Landu.

Up Next

As of now, nothing is in the books for Bellator moving forward. Rumors continue to circulate of a pending sale to the owners of the PFL, which would likely merge the company into one.
