WWE’s “McRiddle” Merchandise Plans Revealed
Sadly, the wrestling promotion had a massive overhaul of layoffs after their merger was complete with UFC under the TKO Holdings umbrella, this past September. Matt Riddle was one of the many talents on the main roster and NXT brand that was let go.

Is WWE Mad At Adam Copeland?
As you can see from the above tweet, the team came up with McRiddle. While this sounds funny, it’s no joke, and one must admit that it is quite catchy!
WWE’s Reason Behind Matt Riddle’s Release
On September 9th, some days before his release, Matt was involved in an incident at JFK airport. He accused a port authority officer of sexual assault.

It’s important to note there is an investigation into the matter. Still, video footage released does show Riddle drunk at JFK, while waiting for his flight.
After a stint in MMA, which included a run with the UFC, Riddle jumped into the land of professional wrestling in 2014. He would eventually debut in NXT in October 2018.
By the time May 2020 rolled around, Matt would be called up to the main roster, landing on Friday Night SmackDown. During his tenure with the company, he had a United States title run, won the RAW tag titles with Randy Orton twice (as RK-Bro), and also held the NXT tag titles with Pete Dunne.
