Things are heating up in the world of professional wrestling! As WWE NXT and AEW Dynamite go head-to-head tonight, the president of All Elite Wrestling, Tony Khan, sent out a strong message to Shawn Michaels and Triple H.

Tony Khan’s Message To WWE NXT

As AEW Dynamite was taken out of its regular time slot on TBS, thanks to the MLB playoffs, it’ll be airing at the same time as WWE NXT. Both companies have stacked their respective shows for the night and both will be commercial-free for the first half-hour.

Haus of Wrestling recently posted an article on X (formerly known as Twitter) with information from a WWE source who states that tonight’s show is a “clear example” of why and how “WWE is WWE” and why All Elite Wrestling has a “long way” to go.

The article talks about how they feel All Elite Wrestling has a false sense of reality that they are “somehow” a leader in this business by continuing to win over the ratings game in the WWE’s development brand when it comes to viewership.

The Haus article also notes that the AEW President continues to “poke” the wrong ones at the wrong time and the NXT show’s creative was produced for amazing storytelling to help build up the younger stars by bringing in established talent to help elevate things. AEW’s head honcho saw the article on X/Twitter and responded with the following tweet, which can be seen above.

In addition to the 30-minute commercial free intros for both shows, AEW will showcase Adam Copeland versus Luchasaurus, Rey Fenix versus Jon Moxley for the International title, a TNT title #1 Contender’s bout that will see Bryan Danielson face Swerve Strickland, and a Women’s World title match where Hikaru Shida squares off against Saraya. In addition, Christian Cage will offer answers to Adam Copeland, plus, a buy-in pre-show bout where ROH World Champion and NJPW Strong Openweight Eddie Kingston will go up against Minoru Suzuki.

Meanwhile, NXT fans will see Cody Rhodes make an announcement, Asuka will face Roxanne Perez, and Carmelo Hayes will have John Cena in his corner as he battles Bron Breakker, with Paul Heyman by his side. The WWE is also teasing an appearance from the Undertaker.
