Jon Moxley recently sat on commentary during the latest AEW pay-per-view (PPV). According to the wrestler, he got fined by the company.
AEW Fines Jon Moxley
During the pre-show for AEW’s 2023 WrestleDream, which took place this past Sunday, October 1st, the wrestler sat on commentary. It was during a match between Josh Barnett and Claudio Castagnoli.
As the bout unfolded, the AEW star noted on commentary that this wasn’t even the PPV yet and viewers were “getting this $h!t for free”. As the night progressed, Jon returned to commentary for the main WrestleDream show for a match between Wheeler Yuta and Ricky Starks.
It was at this time that he noted he was fined for his foul language during the pre-show commentary. Still, in typical fashion for this AEW star, he does say during the Starks versus Yuta match that he told Yuta to make Starks “pay for that $h!t”.
The former AEW Champion also sat on commentary for the Zack Sabre JR versus Bryan Danielson match where he also swore multiple times. There may be different rules when it comes to pre-show versus the PPV live streams, as this is not the first time anyone has used questionable language during a PPV.
More Dark Side Of The Ring Coming
Unfortunately, the AEW star wasn’t involved in WrestleDream this year and hasn’t been in action for weeks now due to a concussion he suffered on the September 20th edition of Dynamite. If fans can’t get him in the ring, it’s nice to enjoy his insights, humor, and cussing on commentary.
The AEW star has been with the company since 2019, leaving the WWE in April of that year and debuting as All Elite in late May. Since entering the promotion he’s become a three-time World Champion, an Interim World Champion, and has held the International title.
