Fans and the wrestling industry continue to mourn the loss of Bray Wyatt, who went by the name of Wyndham Rotunda in real life. Recently, WWE power couple Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch respectively did something special to pay tribute to the iconic star.
WWE Stars Seth Rollins & Becky Lynch Honor Bray On RAW
This past Friday on SmackDown, the company produced a special tribute show to honor the late Hall of Famer Terry Funk, as well as Bray Wyatt. The world is still digesting the news of Wyndham Rotunda’s passing at the age of 36, announced last Thursday, August 24th.
Monday Night RAW took place this week, and the show was still very emotional, as respective talent did pay tribute to both men. Becky Lynch was one who was quite emotional during her match with Zoey Stark, and Seth Rollins paid homage to Wyatt during a promo.
When Rollins opened up his promo on RAW, he started with, “YOWIE WOWIE”, Wyatt’s Firefly Funhouse signature expression. But that’s not all.
The WWE X handle reveals that Rollins has also paid tribute to Rotunda by unveiling a new side plate on his World Heavyweight title, which reveals the “Fiend” persona on it. Check out the tweet above.
Meanwhile, as RAW closed, a tear-filled Becks held up a “Bray” armband as she began to cry. As the show went off the air, Lynch told the live crowd a story about Wyndham and how he helped her in 2016.
Sometime after she first won the SmackDown Women’s title, Becky was set to defend her championship against Alexa Bliss in a Tables match at the TLC event. Still, this was her first “tables” bout and she had zero clue on how to “properly” set up a table.
Lynch notes how Wyatt spent the entire day of the event teaching her how to set up the table for the match and prepare, overall. She also states he had a bout of his own during the pay-per-view, too, but still took the day to help her.
While she didn’t win the TLC match, as Bliss crashed her through a table that night to win the Blue brand Women’s Championship, all those pointers and tips sure came in handy with last night’s RAW match. She not only won the bout but placed both Zoey Stark and Trish Stratus through a table.
