Nia Jax May Be Gearing Up For A WWE Comeback
As per PWInsider, there have been discussions that the former RAW Women’s Champion could be returning to the WWE. The report notes that sources say her name has been mentioned recently.
No date of return was provided. The former WWE star surprised fans with a one-off appearance during this year’s 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble.
She entered the competition as entrant #30. With a combined effort of 11 female stars in the squared circle at the time, was eventually eliminated.
Fans on social media might have also seen Nia training with 14-time WWE Women’s Champion, Charlotte Flair. The two ladies are still good friends, and Flair is helping Jax get into better shape.
Is this for a WWE return? Only time will tell.
Nia’s History With The Company
She was signed to the WWE in early 2014 and made her NXT debut in May 2015. The Irresistible Force entered the main roster in 2016 and made a tremendous impact on the women’s division during her tenure with the company.
Not only did she hold the WWE RAW Women’s title, but she was also a two-time Women’s Tag Team Champion, with Shayna Baszler. Unfortunately, she was released by the WWE in late 2021.
According to the New York Post, it was because she did not get the COVID-19 vaccine. Still, the superstar did hint on social media that there were issues backstage on how management dealt with certain talents.
In addition to her wrestling accolades, she also happens to be Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s second cousin. Plus, she has a very close relationship with The Rock’s mom, Ata Maivia-Johnson.
