AR Fox was removed from All In earlier in the week, but that was not the plan. AEW made the switch as Fox could not travel to England and now he has heat.
AR Fox Has Backstage AEW Heat For Missing All In
There were a bunch of matches confirmed before AEW All In, but Tony Khan said changes were coming. In the end, several wrestlers were removed and replaced by someone else on the roster.Â
One of matches that needed a late fix was the tag team coffin match. AR Fox was replaced by Christian Cage.
As a result, Sting & Darby Allin met Swerve Strickland & Christian from England. Apparently, that was not the plan.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful noted how Fox now has heat for not being unable to make the show.
The reason for Fox not being able to make the trip to England has not been confirmed. Typically, when traveling to another country, they have restrictions on letting foreigners in.Â
Due to restrictions, Jeff Hardy could make the trip because of his legal issues. Ethan Page also could not travel as he is waiting on a green card.
Fox joined AEW earlier in the year and recently turned heel by joining the Mogul Embassy. The pairing only lasted a few weeks as Fox was booted from the stable on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite.
Before all the changes, Fox was working with Nick Wayne. At the same time, Sting and Darby were there as they look to give the young Nick Wayne a decent push.
At All In, Sting & Darby Allin secured the victory. This was not Sting’s retirement match, but fans are under the impression that could happen before the year ends.
So, did AR Fox make a huge error and will AEW punish him for causing last minute changes?
