There’s been a recent rumor circulating that Ronda Rousey may make a UFC comeback in light of her upcoming WWE exit. WNZ examines this ongoing story, down below.
Ronda Rousey Is Wrapping Up Her Time In The WWE
Reports indicate that the former UFC fighter is rounding out her current WWE run. The former Women’s Champion is on a “hard-out” agreement with the company and will finish up with the promotion after her program with Shayna Baszler.
With that being said, there’s been a buzz over the past day or so that star could consider a UFC comeback. That is after her time with the WWE ends.
Still, she’s been out of the “fighting” game for quite a while now after consecutive losses. She lost her UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship to Holly Holm at the UFC 193 event that took place back in November 2015.
Holm knocked her out with a kick to the head to win the title. Then at the UFC 207 event in December 2016, she suffered a TKO loss at the hands of Amanda Nunes within 48 seconds.
UFC Rumor Started, UFC Rumor Killed
Chelsea Chandler, a current UFC fighter told MMA Junkie recently that she has “heard” the WWE superstar is coming back at 145 (featherweight division). She notes that she “welcomes” her to 145 and that it would be a great fight.
Chandler adds that “money talks” and Ronda returning would bring back “eyes” to the sport. She also states that she “feels” the star’s time in the WWE is going down, so she’d love to see her return to the UFC.
Meanwhile, MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani hopped on Twitter to kill this rumor. See the above tweet.
Could the Baddest Woman On The Planet make a UFC return? Only time will tell.
