A new sad Robert Roode update will see him miss a ridiculous amount of time. And, CM Punk continues to make surprise appearances, this time at Impact Wrestling.

New Sad Robert Roode Update

Robert Roode’s last major match dates back to the André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal before WrestleMania 38. After months of not appearing on TV, he was briefly seen with Dolph Ziggler in a backstage segment.

Since then, Roode has been off TV and he underwent neck fusion surgery. Now, a new sad Robert Roode update from Fightful Select reports he will miss the rest of 2023.

Also, there is no official timeframe for his return. Next year is possible, but a serious surgery like that could delay a return or even end a career.

Roode became a huge name in Impact Wrestling before joining WWE. He spent time in NXT and was then moved to the main roster.

Even upon joining WWE, many were under the impression Roode would never be the top guy. Basically, he had the talent, but age was not on his side.

He turns 47 years old next month and WWE does not have many full-time wrestlers that age. Perhaps, the new sad Robert Roode update can turn positive if given a backstage role by WWE.

So, what do you make of the new sad Robert Roode update and his future?

CM Punk knows how to get people talking, even when his he not wrestling. The often controversial wrestler made headlines recently for several reasons.

To begin, it has all but been confirmed how Punk is headed back to AEW. He is expected to be part of the new Saturday show as the company looks to split the roster into two.

Then, Punk made an unannounced appearance before a recent edition of RAW. He was backstage and spoke with some talent.

We know he and The Miz did make peace over previous issues. Also, he likely to spoke to Triple H.

There is speculation that Vince McMahon made the call for Punk to leave. Vince and Punk never got along and that pattern has not changed.

Punk left without causing any problems. Why Punk was there remains a question.

Some say he was visiting, others think he was testing the waters over a potential return or he could have been trying to get hype around his name again.

Well, Punk make another Chicago appearance. He was at the Impact Wrestling tapings, which came from the Cicero Stadium.

According to Fightful Select’s report, Punk was welcomed at the show. He passed by numerous fans and was backstage.

He even snapped a picture with former Impact Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace.

Before Punk become a star in WWE, he made a name for himself in Ring Of Honor and then Impact Wrestling (known as TNA at the time). He feuded heavily with Raven in both promotions.

Eventually, Punk landed in WWE. There, he became a global star before leaving on a sour note.

After several years away from pro wrestling, he signed with AEW. He helped the promotion gain plenty of attention and even won the AEW World Chhamipship.

The title reign was short-lived. After All Out, back in September, Punk ripped AEW’s EVPs and other members of The Elite right next to Tony Khan.

Then, in the back, a brawl took place. Numerous suspensions were handed-out, including Punk.

He was stripped of the title and then underwent surgery. He is cleared to compete again and is expected back.

Punk met with Chris Jericho, and FTR were also present, as a way to smooth over past problems.

It should also be noted how Punk was not the only previous WWE superstar present at Impact Wrestling. Trinity Fatu made her debut and her good friend, Mercedes Mone, was spotted in the crowd.
