The two last tangled in Cleveland, so will Solo Sikoa get a rematch with Cody Rhodes at Bad Blood in a few weeks’ time?

Solo Sikoa is gunning for Cody Rhodes and the American Nightmare’s Undisputed Championship. He got himself a one on one match at this past SummerSlam. Sikoa got it turned into a Bloodline Rules match. That backfired when Roman Reigns returned for the first time since WrestleMania, effectively helping Rhodes retain. In the time since SummerSlam, the acting Tribal Chief has been adamant that he somehow deserves a rematch. While Cody Rhodes has, on camera, told Solo no dice, we know that there is another match likely coming our way.

But It May Not Be At Bad Blood

On the WWE premium live event schedule, Bad Blood is next in just under a month. But according to the Wrestling Observer, a Rhodes/Sikoa rematch is not currently on the card. We do know that WWE is making a conscious effort to keep most PLE cards to about five matches, whether some fans like that or not. That limit may be part of why the match may not happen, though if WWE wanted to, I am sure it would. But, if Meltzer gets this one correct, we won’t see the two do battle once again in Atlanta, at least not as part of Bad Blood.

As of now, we expect Drew McIntyre and CM Punk to be on the card, possibly as the main event (and perhaps in Hell In A Cell?). It would be a mild shock to not have Rhodes on the card in some capacity. It is his hometown, for one. For another, he’s been prominently featured in the vignettes hyping the show. Short of missing due to health or personal reasons, it would be weird to have him hype it and not be on it.

We should know a bit more as of this Friday, on the final FOX SmackDown. The blue brand lands on the USA Network beginning September 13th, so it seems reasonable to expect some big things on that show.
